Willett Public Affairs had the recent pleasure of assisting client Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in celebrating the re-opening of their Purchase, NY rehabilitation center. The new Burke Rehabilitation Purchase/Fairfield outpatient therapy facility located in the Purchase Professional Park increases the original 1,400 square foot space into one five times larger, while completely modernizing the site as well. Burke Hospital was founded in 1915, and is now nationally recognized as a leading rehabilitation hospital for preventive and postoperative therapy. The rehabilitation project took six months, and on September 12, local political leaders such as New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, Board of Legislators Chairman Vedat Gashi and many others joined to tour the new facility after an official ribbon-cutting.
This expansion will help Burke deliver its world class rehabilitation services to more patients in the Westchester and Connecticut areas. Burke Executive Director Scott Edelman emphasized Burke's continuing goal of improving patient outcomes after a major illness or accident, and its unique role as an area rehabilitation hospital. Willett Public Affairs works closely with Burke Rehabilitation Hospital to help it achieve the public funding necessary to maintain its high level of service and operations such as the Purchase/Fairfield facility, and we congratulate Burke for all their hard work and dedication to this worthy project.
